I find that the end of summer is a perfect time to give the kitchen a good cleaning before the hustle and bustle of fall and the holiday season. Aside from my regular cleaning routine, I always focus on a few deep cleaning items that help to freshen up my kitchen for fall, and of course, Weiman has everything I need to make it happen!
STEP 1: CLEAN DRAWER AND CABINET INTERIORS AND EXTERIORS
One of the areas in my kitchen that needs a good cleaning, after a busy summer, are the interiors of the drawers and cabinets. I like to empty out each drawer and wipe out the inside with Weiman Cabinet and Wood Cleaner. It is the perfect way to clean up any dust or debris that has accumulated over the summer and it only takes a couple of minutes to do each one.
My technique is to spray the Weiman Wood and Cabinet Cleaner directly onto a dry cloth rather than into the drawer or cabinet. And while I’m at it, I also wipe down the faces of each drawer and cabinet to remove any fingerprints or grime. This is the first step in my end of summer kitchen clean up.
STEP 2: DEEP CLEAN ALL STAINLESS-STEEL COOKWARE
The next project on my list is to give my cookware a thorough cleaning. I adore my stainless-steel pots and pans, but I’ll be honest, tend to maintain a bit of baked on grease, especially on the edges.

Once I have all my drawers and cabinets cleaned and my cookware polished, I focus on the overall kitchen clean up. My priorities are getting my countertops clean and disinfected, polishing my stainless-steel appliances, and getting the summer grime off of my wood flooring.

STEP 3: DISINFECT AND CLEAN KITCHEN COUNTERTOPS
Weiman Granite and Stone Daily Clean and Shine is my favorite product to keep my marble countertops shiny and disinfected. I use this product on a daily basis, but when I am focused on my after summer clean up, it is vital to getting my countertops looking beautiful and fresh. A simple spray and a wipe with a damp cloth is all that is required to restore the luster and shine.
STEP 4: CLEAN AND SHINE STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES
I don’t know about you, but my stainless-steel appliances get used A LOT throughout the summer. To keep them looking good, I rely on Weiman Stainless Steel Spray. Not only does this product make my appliances look like new, but it also helps to repel those pesky fingerprints that tend to build up.
STEP 5: CLEAN WOOD FLOORS
The part of my kitchen that gets the dirtiest in the summer is the wood floors. I love the warmth that wood flooring adds to a kitchen but keeping them clean can be a big job. I don’t know what I would do without Weiman Hardwood Floor Cleaner. After a sweep or vacuum, I simply squirt a bit of floor cleaner directly on my flooring and clean with a damp mop. My floors not only look great, but the fragrance of this floor cleaner also makes the whole house smell fresh and clean!
