Do Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish products contain tetrachloroethylene (PCE)?

No, Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish products do NOT contain tetrachloroethylene (PCE).

Does this product remove hard water stains?

No, it won’t remove water stains but over time with regular use it can make them less noticeable.

My sprayer is not working what can I do to get it to work?

Slowly pull the trigger all the way back then release. This may take 5-10 times in a row slowly (without force) to get the sprayer to work. If you are still having trouble please reach out to our customer service team.

Does this product remove grease or cooking residue?

Yes, but particularly baked-on grease may require a degreaser.

Can I use this on my stainless steel grill?

Yes, this product is great for cleaning and polishing stainless steel BBQ grills.

Can I use this on stainless steel cookware, flatware or food prep surfaces?

Yes, but you’ll need to thoroughly wash the surface with a mild dish detergent and water prior to using it for direct food contact.

Can I use this on black stainless steel?

Quality stainless steel cleaners like Weiman are safe for use on black stainless steel as long as it is not painted SS, faux SS, or has a fingerprint resistant finish. Always check the product label to confirm compatibility with your specific finish. If in doubt, contact the product manufacturer.

Can I use this product on aluminum?

Does this cleaner leave a protective coating?

Is this safe for all finishes?

It is specially formulated for stainless steel finishes. It also works great for black stainless steel, but the safest approach is to follow your appliance manufacturer’s cleaning guidance and spot-test first. Do not use on uncoated or unsealed aluminum, since it may darken the aluminum if it is not coated or sealed properly.

Can this spray be used on marble?

This spray is used for stainless steel, not stone. We do not recommend using it on marble, because it is formulated to clean and polish metal surfaces. For marble, use a stone-specific cleaner designed for that finish. See the Weiman store for our options!

Does this spray disinfect?

This is a cleaner and polish for stainless steel, not a disinfectant. It is used for removing fingerprints, smudges, grease, and residue and leaving a protective shine. If you need disinfection, use an appropriate disinfectant first, then use this product afterward to give a lasting polished stainless steel finish!

Can this be used on chrome?

It is formulated and recommended for stainless steel surfaces. If you want to use it on chrome, we suggest testing on a small, inconspicuous area first and following the fixture or appliance manufacturer’s guidance. For best results, wipe with a soft cloth and buff dry.

Does this cleaner protect against rust?

The polish leaves a protective barrier that helps repel dirt and dust and resist fingerprints on stainless steel. While it is not marketed as a rust inhibitor, keeping stainless clean and free of water spots is a helpful part of preventing surface discoloration over time.
